Bullet-Proof

Bullet-Proof

A Poem by Andrea
"

Nothing could effect her, not even bullets...or love.

"
Her heart was replaced with blankness:
quite like a hole.
Much like the opening in the wall
left by a bullet.

A bullet that had missed it's target completely
and instead
punctured the innocent, by-standing wall.

If only the hand behind the trigger
was not so shaken-
not so enslaved
by her infinite beauty.

If only his aim
was as sharp as her
taunting stare.

If only his
heart
wasn't so bloated,
and loaded like a gun.

She seemed like such an easy target
but he might as well had been shooting blanks
for nothing could affect her-

not his words,
not his passion,
not his love.

For she is heartless,
she is cruel,
and apparently, bullet proof.
