Figuratively Speaking

Figuratively Speaking

A Poem by Andrea
"

Figuratively feeling

"
Alone again.
Heart racing, anxiously
in my skin.

I can't help but shake-
Try to brush off
the moments that imprison me.

The imagination of
emotions
begun to feel
more than real.

I know there is something
breaking inside of my chest.
If not my heart
than what?

Figurative love
collapsing,
smashed to bits.

Our devotion
destroys us
like a wrecking ball.

We may not be
so beautiful anymore.
Our ever-after-
demolished.
Our future-
shattered on the ground.

But the idea of us
will live on,
as does this burden
of missing you.

I really like this one too, as you probably know i am a rhyme w***e, so, i had an idea for the 7th stanza, you could throw in a rhyme and imagery by using something like we may not be so beautiful anymore our ever-after-demolished our future shattered like broken sea-shells on the shore? also in the 4th stanza did you intend to say if not my heart than what? or did you mean then what? This is probably my favorite poem of yours so far! (:

This is one to think over... as the coffee sits unnoticed and chills
