A Poem by Andrea
"

All a part of their game

"
I am better than that
(or so I thought).

I cannot simply be
played like a game
and yet I am now
a pawn on your chess table.

Yes a pawn;
not a knight, nor a bishop
not even a rook.

I am your pawn:
the weakest and smallest,
most belittled soldier
on your black and white checkered
battle field.

You have set me up
and raised my spirits by choosing me first
to simply feed me to the sharks;
push me under the bus.
You let me get knocked down,

And you don't even care.
Your excuse-
I am just a pawn.
Why should you care.
You've got another seven
to play with.

I think
------ in your mind you create the world---- Buddha

If you see yourself as a pawn, then ?
I think you are an attractive young woman who has
every potential to create her world. Why would you
be controlled by anyone ? Only if you allow it.

I am so glad I'm too dense to play chess. I have enough trouble thinking one move ahead in life. Or am I overlooking the deeper meaning of how people judge you on what they see and not what you are. Beautifully written once more.
