Fearless

Fearless

A Poem by Andrea
"

overcoming fear

"
I set my fear to flames

and suddenly
the ground didn't seem so far away
from the roof of a towering skyscraper
and the fall to reach it
didn't seem all too bad.

The piercing dark room now
held nothing more than blankness.
I didn't need a light to know
that the monsters were never really there.

And the thing I feared the most
was to lose you,

but days pass by like interstate cars
and my fears disintegrate into nothing.
Once I was so afraid of your absence-
Now i am alone, but feeling so fearless.

Nicely done. Like the optimism.
