Those That Are Forsaken

Year poem was written: 2013

      The broken-hearted drift away,

             lost in despair.

      Desperately searching for hope,

             to show them the way.

 

      The neglected are trapped in darkness,

             scrambling to find the light.

      For they are unsure if there's any good left,

             given the cruelty they endure.

 

      At the end of the tunnel they find love,

             love they've longed for their entire lives.

      Faith has been rekindled in worn hearts,

             for the light is finally reborn.

A poem for many people. Some people can't see the good in their world. We hope the sad and disappointed in heart can find joy and happiness in the end. A positive ending to a excellent poem. A very good poem for a long discussion.
