The Stars ... They Shine For You and I

KWP invited me into this endeavor .. we tried to keep stars as metaphor throughout and incorporate the five tenants of Japanese Philosophy and Martial Arts .. Wind, Water, Fire, Earth and Void ..

the stars they died for you and me

within the deepest inhalation 

we may catch the heart of all the stars

swept along in camouflaged breezes - 

a rascal no less creating a stir 

wind is nature's cheeky commotion 

steadily gifting free rides to 

tango-loving gypsy stardust

rising shores a trillion drops deep

quenching the thirst of existence 

pellucid water pulsing pink across ancient coral

bursting stars, dust and billow 

emancipated in ripples wave

i see the all within your face

reds, blues, greens and silver 

colors draining back to the depths

and yet 

gusting flames echo in reflection 

invitation of heated caresses from your eyes 

cinder and ash orbit within your sparkle

fire long since burnt out endures

serving only to bless you, bless me

incarnate star 

offering essence eternal ....

found as in youth

poking sticks under rocks 

prodding tongues of Christmas Beetles

down in the land where 

wild mushrooms grow and

musk in blackest earth 

among apples, acorns, rocks and Hickory trees

the intricate interlace of now 

coalesces elements

beloved stardust entrusted 

us our absolute 

miraculous star

born from a vacuous space

we are the miracle 

within the star 

pacing its ebb and flow and

always in unity

A vast idea and wider view with your poem here, fellas. you know the sun is a star too, couldn't imagine that star dying for me, wouldn't want that. I usually feel Einstein noodle's poetry - most likely because it's honest and personal, this had two pens, both heading in divergent directions. The words are there, but I couldn't feel to believe it. Its a decent piece, don't get me wrong or take it personally, I've read better from Einstein...

thanks for your honest thoughts and interesting that you say what you did - whislt we were working together we each both our own interpretations of how we saw it had been written to that point - and althoght or wording was different the same 'cycle of life' theme was present ...

thank you sir ..for your honest review ..much appreciated .. sorry that this one did not reach you .. it is a vast idea as you say .. with small points of human focus ... face eyes you and me for example .. but it is the idea of the miracle within the stars ... at one with each individual .. and all the elements coalescing in the "now" ... :) perhaps if you come back and read again it would help ... thank you very much for taking time .. this was such a treat to work on with KWP ... love love love and peace

Lol i hate when that happens in a colab...not hate..my partners are always cherished...the whole piece was outstanding..your colabs are seemless. Which takes an incredible amount of charismatic unity between the two, or just very similar voices...i couldnt tell nisreen was a part of the other at all. Yes, she indeed is a very intelligent, poised young lady in her pieces. I see the depth of her talent..the stocism is just not to my personal taste. That does not mean i dont respect her ability..we all have preferences.
That made that piece all the more incredible to me.

This whole thing is alive and special...are all of yours colabs..
My colabs are much different. Monsters ball..two very distinct voices answering one another.and the Seduction of Calamitygin...the two of our styles are similar..but again..returned voices.

I had been asked to.do a colab here...was nervous about it...now im terrified! Lol no...now i.have a betteridea of what i should reach for. Thanks doll!

oh my ... no sweat girl!!! :) this is a great forum ... I began to write using free form ... wanted to enlarge my vocabulary (read about me;) these are the things of Nisreen ... KWP had a very challenging idea ..start to finish ... we wrote and re-wrote and changed a lot of things indiscriminately ... i have collaborated with others doing English sonnets .. Quatrains .. and with Zahra forms from ancient sand of her lands ... for me the delight is in the learning .. answering voices are used routinely in collabs .. so i think you should just go for what ever :))))))) love and joy girl!

For me stars represent eternity. I look up at the sky and feel the presence of loved ones who have passed on and imagine them as stars watching over us.
