James. I love you times three

James. I love you times three

A Poem by John Fitzgerald

I Love You times three

The tip of a leaf,
A grain of sand,
The buried heart
Of a still born man;
All these are
But facets of the One,
The Creator, the All,
which we emanate From.

Then up to the heavens
Clouds burst with rain
That nourishes the tree root
Then, flowing up again,
Ever struggling upward, against law and tide
I am a witness
With you at my side

How blest am I
Closer to death
Dependent on you
For my very breath
Like waves on the shore
My skin feels your touch
Your ears hear my words
Am I blubbering too much?
But…
Like the clouds I burst
Like the mother I silently cry
Like the leaf I thirst
Like the man I die.
The tip of a leaf,
A grain of sand
The buried heart
Of a still born man
All these are
But facets of the One,
The Creator, the All,
which we emanate From

Then up to the heavens
Clouds burst with rain
That nourishes the tree root
Then, flowing up again,
Ever struggling upward, against law and tide
I am a witness
With you at my side

How blest am I
Closer to death
Dependent on you
For my very breath
Like waves on the shore
My skin feels your touch
Your ears hear my words
Am I blubbering too much?
But…
Like the clouds I burst
Like the mother I silently cry
Like the leaf I thirst
Like the man I die.
