you are the water

you are the water

A Poem by Ben Walton
"

"I move my lips just so you won't have to."

"

your fingers pour like water down my spine
and around my neck and down my side
until i'm soaking wet.
you break down your sentences into letters
and wrap them back around your tongue
and all you can taste is
i love you.
the steam of the windows and the steam of our breath
tangle and condense into drops of water
that fall through the hour glass;
drowning whatever time we had left.
but you are the water and i am the sun;
and you turn to vapor beneath my nose.
the the curves of your hips turn to waves
and the words on our lips form sentences with each other;
they mesh together between the smiles on our faces
which seem obselete with our eyes closed.
