Whisperings...

Whisperings...

A Poem by Fargo X. Williams

Whispers faintly whispered running parallel to night,
Recurring voices mingling...when heeded taking flight,
Phantasms of a nether realm cross bonds breaching my own,
So far away, yet, so close, but never reaching home,
Shackled souls bound to the earth by restraints in kind,
Searching for what life reneged, in limbo for all time,
So sorry if I do intrude, it's really not my aim,
Please, carry on if you must, I know you're not to blame,
All I ask, and nothing more, is just a little peace,
Soften your chains, tone down the screams, let me get some sleep!
I'll share the night which is your time if this be the case,
but after all I pay the rent, so don't invade my space,
The dripping blood I tolerate since it's gone by dawn,
Move furniture, I don't care, but don't come on so strong,
This house can be our home, but if you're thinking not,
I'll sell to the Quicky Mart, you can haunt their parking lot!
