Fall Leaves

Fall Leaves

A Poem by Spencer Valentine

He closes his eyes,

His anger grows,

He hates someone,

The cause of his woes,

He cannot help,

But blame her,

She causes him pain,

Of this, he's sure,

She seems happy,

With another guy,

He always thinks,

He has to try,

But she hates him,

That's what he believes,

But his feeling change,

Like the fall leaves,

Their color changes,

As does he,

But he is broken,

Emotionally,

Where they stiffen,

And fall from their tree,

I know he is weak,

For I am he,

She breaks my heart,

I'm not sure that she see,

That I've become weak,

Just like the fall leaves.

thats a little depressing, but well done, i like how you use short simple sentences to convey the mood of your poem. the only thing that i find confusing (only because i am not normally a reader of poetry) is that you say your emotions change like the fall leaves but you start out the poem angry and dissapointed and you end the poem the same way, or maybe the change was from angry to sad, i don't know, nice poem.
