The truth hurts, but what choice is there?

We see what we don't wanna see
And hear things that we don't wanna hear.
But that's the problem with truth -
It hurts like hell
And there's no way of getting away from it.

The bitterest truth
Is often the most calming medicine
For we are never sure what to do with our lies
Until they come crashing down on us.

To this day
It's still difficult to face the truth
But we can't have it all,
Can we?
Which is why we almost always go for the easiest option -
Lie.

But though the truth hurts,
It's what will make up for things lost.
Stick to the truth.
