To The Wolves

Written as a song, for a friends band

Into the maw of darkness
To the point of no return
As a lamb to the leonine
Ravenous wolves descend

So blight the will of man
To bring forth a god of vice
To the litanies spoke on high 
These gods are mans demise

Tempted by power
The decision is final
To hell with humanity
We shall make these mortals cower

To the wolves! To the wolves!
Throw humanity to the wolves
The weak shalt feed the hungry tyrant
Feeding off innocence

From Babylon to Palestine
The holy ones shall bathe in blood
From genesis to nemesis
The Martyrs War will end it all

Beautiful imagery. The word choice was quite intriguing as well. In truth, I had been losing a bit of interest in the poetry on here. However, this one is rather refreshing. As far as criticism goes, I genuinely can't think of much. The only thing I can think of is this: your use of the word "shalt," in the fourth stanza seemed a bit awkward when I read it. Perhaps you would consider making it "shall?" That's just a thought--I'm coming more from the prose (trying to get more into poetry) standpoint. Regardless, a spectacular piece.
