Come To Me My Dogs

Come To Me My Dogs

A Poem by Von Alis

Come to me my dogs
Lovers of war and famine
Come to me and sit by my side
Mangled ears and bloody eyes

Come to me my dogs
Bring me your desperate and lonely
Your beaten and your bruised
So that I may make them mine

Come to me my dogs
Lick my hands clean of blood
Lay your heads on my lap
I will rid your faces of fleas

Come to me my dogs
The innocent have no place here
Bring me only the ravaged outcasts
Under these cities we gather

Come to me my dogs
A war we will bring from beneath
For we gather under the good's feet
We, the despised, will rule

Come to me my dogs
Bring me those hiding in shadows
I will make them soldiers
And we will overturn their world

When I read the title, I thought I will be reading some puppy-loving stanzas but after reading it came as a bitter reality strike! I I wonder about the use of soldiering, do you want to join the army?

Is this a sequel to your previous one about the dogs of war? Very nice work. I got a chaotic, vengeful feeling from this one. Not sure if that's what you were aiming for or not.
