Jersey's Uptown Naked-Kevlar Youngsters

Jersey's Uptown Naked-Kevlar Youngsters

A Poem by Connor

That fervent rain was pulled down
zealously by gravity under the gray sky,
pollution and cigarette smoke
mixing with the bleak atmospheric euphoria,
forming new hues of black and blue
with unrelenting vigor, over and over,
crouching under bridges, the soft
pitter-patter of water,
clashing magnificently with their spoon and droppers,
those tabletop junkies, twisting and contorting
their bodies at the sight of corroding chemicals,
while bloodshot eyes, stained
from bleach and their feverish terrors,
hang above eroded teeth
doused in cadmium,
hidden in the pinstripe city skyline.

Great use of words painting such a bleak moment in time. Well done.

This captured an image of the people that everyone forgets about. The dark side of a cities undercarriage. Your flow and words have done your theme justice beyond what i can say.
I have been through those cities that have this element in mass, i can envision it well, and you have projected it well.

Wonderfull piece!
