Made By The Potter's Hand

Made By The Potter's Hand

A Poem by Forbidden
"

Just read it lol... You wont regret it...

"
Hiding behind a perfect mirage,
I stand aside from the fake wax-like people,
That I once thought were my friends.

For I was once like them,
A walking wax statue,
But knowing their ugly truth,
I had to remove myself before I became hideous like the rest of them.

My skin made of clay,
Was burnt and cooked,
Making me become hard like rock,
But I am still breakable.

Wax will one day melt away,
Under the burning sun.
Made by the potter’s hand,
I shall remain.

This was really interesting. It made me wish I knew a little more about pottery and molds. I think that was a really good metaphor comparing the "wax" ones to the more hardened "clay" one. It was about realizing you were different from the pack and it made you stronger, but still capable of feeling pain. Or am I way off base? Nice job on this.
