Bird Truck Stop

Bird Truck Stop

A Poem by Foster Poetry
"

Observation of birds on a tree

"
Birds congregate on trees.
Like cars at a truck stop.
Some rest so they can continue their journey.
Others stay longer not quite ready to go.
20 leave together in a flock.
Three are left.
Two leave together continuing their love affair.
One is left to sit and ponder.
She flies away and the tree sits empty.
Waiting for the next wave of life to land on her branches.
