Knights of Camelot

Knights of Camelot

A Poem by Fran Marie

Knights of Camelot

~Rimas Dissolutas~

Mounted horsemen who fought battles loyally
And defended the honor of his Lady fair
Knights who swiftly drew blood by his sword
In the time of Camelot

A King's castle protected by Gallantry
A round table all gathered there
in the house of their great Lord
Were the Knights of Camelot

Knightly heroes of brawn bravery
Shielded Arms of Coats their gear
Their victory won across- the- board
A Quest met for Camelot

Extinguished Sirs of integrity
Noble they did fare
Security in strength, they were moored
The Gallant Knights of Camelot

Oh delightful! I loved this period in English History, this reminds me when I went for a battle banquet at Warwick Castle, it was the most magical night ever! Castles smell awful though LOL

Hi Fran!
Thank you so much for your entry into the
"Picture Poem This (1)" contest! Good Luck!
This is a delightful poem. Befitting any Knight.
I love that era so much & any movie relating to knights.
Such a dangerous time to be alive, in reality; but there
was chivalry. That doesn't seem to exist too much, anymore.
Well Done!

Beautiful. The myths of Camelot is about my favorite series in mythology. Well written. I can almost hear the clamor of a mace slamming against a shield in the background. You might like the new Narnia movie - it is pretty decent.

Luv,
Gabe

Fran, this is great! Not many are aware that Lancelot was actually ... it's rumored to be a Knight Templar. You've done it great justice.
