When Love Speaks

When Love Speaks

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

~Love Sonnet~

"

When love speaks.'tis your name whispered, I hear
Sands of life shall run deep, forever dear.

Tho~times may be, tears roll down upon cheek
In silent moments, When love does not speak
and if I find no rose,'neath a blue sky
I'll but dry my tears, and not ponder why.
For each grain of sand, new days lie in view
and ocean's tides rush in to wash anew
Another rose will yet bloom in June's air
'Lest heart dwell alone in December bare
Misty air pervades my soul from the Sea
Our love lies in sands of eternity

Yes, sands of life shall run forever near
When love speaks,''tis always your name dear

Beautiful and use of old English gives it extra charm.
You have such a way with love poems.. they are not the usual you might read..
This is a bit sad .. love your picture used ...

These verses are beautiful :

Tho~times may be, tears roll down upon cheek
In silent moments, When love does not speak
and if I find no rose,'neath a blue sky
I'll but dry my tears, and not ponder why.
For each grain of sand, new days lie in view
and ocean's tides rush in to wash anew
Another rose will yet bloom in June's air
'Lest heart dwell alone in December bare
Misty air pervades my soul from the Sea
Our love lies in sands of eternity

Great metaphors and images .. also the last line says so much.

The breath of this lulls on the cusp of ones soul and lingers there long after the heart beats no more...absolutely beautiful...

Extraordinary! Such subtle and gentle tone this poem has. Beautiful language too, there's an 'antique' touch to it, much like Elizabeth Browning's time. Very beautiful poem.

Fantastic, the poem is so classic like the olden ages poems, the rhyming of words were good and the English was a delight to read, you handled the language so well...

I agree with the last comment, your use of Old English diction gave the sonnet a charming tone.
When love speaks.'tis your name whispered
Very romantic; the line truly expresses the opinionated meaning and emotion emanating from love.
Yes, sands of life shall run forever near
When love speaks,''tis always your name dear
Awesome conclusion to a beautiful poem.

Beautiful...love the 18th century style..."tis your name.../'Lest heart dwell alone..."

It's gently bold ending as so...love it "when love speaks, 'tis your name.."

Very nice,Very nice..
