Winds of Time..

Winds of Time..

A Poem by Fran Marie

it's not the way I look at it
mostly it's just to look
at the night sky to relax
and feel the vibrations
 of the universe

It's when loneliness invades
my mind and life turns
upside down; inside out and
my heart taps out unknown
beats of trapped up sounds
I search for the when's and
wheres,.where does it all end

 when life is forced into
 boredom, a pent up existence
follows; where senses dull
as fear strikes its forceful
hand

when a life cooped up
is not living
you must set it free
and fly with wings of a butterfly

 A'las; it cannot be
when time is not your
friend and you know you've
lived longer than you're going to

Melancholy feelings I picked up on here. Reflections on how long we have lived and how little is left by comparison. Life does fly by the older we get. The night sky may not give answers to our problems but for me it is like a dark blanket all encompassing when I am on my own. Night is the time to ponder, reflect and ask questions. Nice writing Fran Marie.

the last stanza is precious...."you know you've lived longer than you're going to"

I love poem endings that just slap us in the poetic face.
that one does, Fran.

Life has to be free...coop it up and it would just rather die.

The below lines, we can't allow to happen. New face need new dreams.

I understand the above lines dear Fran. I decided after I semi-retired. I will try to expand writing and maybe. Motivate more writers. Thank you dear friend for sharing your amazing poetry and your thoughts.

A sad undertone here... Yes, night is the time of reminiscing, of past events. But when it feels heavier then we should leave it as it is... As time is the best healer! A nice poem

Indeed, the growth of the rear view mirror can be a humbling experience, especially if life has showed its limitations and further diversification seems unlikely. As a septuagenarian I have experienced some of these uncomfortable feelings. Sometimes, though, if we can go deeply enough within, the without doesn't seem quite so confining.
