Sunset (101 words)

Sunset (101 words)

A Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)
"

Poem

"

Into the creeping darkness I stare

Quiet pandemonium of sunset

In the mystical light, shadows dancing

In time with the rhythm of Earth’s timeless song

The wind and the trees making casual love

Ground and sky flirting, never touching

Day’s warmth fleeing like a jilted mistress

Only to return tomorrow for more

I feel like a hidden voyeur

Peeping at mythical gods intertwined

Through a tiny hole in Nature’s wall

Jealous that I can’t take part in the tryst

I feel the warmth of day’s last soft caress,

And the cold of night’s first spiteful kiss,

The wind blows over my skin, through my hair,

I realize that I am loved, too, by all

Sunsets are when the magic begins- This reminds me of Shakespeare's " A Midsummer's night dream" When the fairies come out to play- A delightful piece.
