Endtime Angel

Endtime Angel

A Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)
"

more first person tales from a world of wreckage

"

Hysteria answers Iniquity’s plangent bawl;
Human faces barking as dogs damning thunder.
In the midst of the reverie, I am rocked to my heels;
Peeled from the herd by a peal of pelted verbiage
Breathed from the heretical mouth of primeval perversity.

As alien as my cause; as alone as my branded standards,
I am vicious light set to spoliate sedentary darkness.
Shadow by shade spirit meets blazing blade;
Shaving shanks of maggoty meat from the beast-lord.
Saving babes from the stained grips of desecration.

No hero here; I am God’s damnedest outcast;
Last of the first to be cursed by the Truth.
Of no use to myself; a pariah now forced
To divorce all I’ve known and become a mere tool
Of the hand of Creation to drive back the fuckery of Filth.

Skyscrapers crumble, machines explode, gregarious murmur
Turns chaotic scream. Beams flow from Judgment’s own eyes;
I am the fire in the flow. Laying impurity low is my duty and lust.
Saint sprung from the seed of my own sinful worthlessness.
Righteous by decree of Heaven to suffer the tortures of Hell.

I am a wayward angel at my penance.
Forgiveness is only a  demon horde away.

Man, that is what I like to hear. It's two am and I'm high and that is deep stuff.

I think you're talking about how enlightenment is a curse in an imperfect world. I don't know, I just love how the words come out, apocalyptic you might say.

You're one of the great writers of our generation, absolute truth. You can just write down the feelings as they come, unadulterated, letting the reader react and feel the force of what you're saying, not as a specific message but as an atmosphere, pure.

This is wonderful stuff.
