pain, misery, suffering, relief

"
Chronic pain is a roaring monster.
For there is no gain with chronic pain.
I live with this infamous chain and
it is such a darn shame.
The body is it's open plain.
A hunting ground so profound,
invading my soul is where it's found.

Day in and day out I suffer,
I'm so weak that there is no relief for me.
From head to toe I do shiver.
Shooting pain does deliver and
the entire body will certainly shiver.
it's a bitter-sweet nerve ending giver.
With so much agony,
such a dire travesty,
sometimes I want to die 
because you are always with me.

With pain so intense,
I want to run bare-footed in the street,
looking for a cure, I'm  desperately sure.
With breathless endeavor,
I stand alone in the rain,
helplessly trying to endure this pain,
pulsating through the veins.
Put me out of my misery,
take me now, please!
Chronic pain is a roaring monster,
and there is no gian with chronic pain.

Each time I talk to my aunt she wants to kill herself because the pain is so bad. It surely is a monster and taken many with its dripping teeth.

This one really brings it home. The descriptive nature of the work does succeed in painting chronic pain as a monster. More than one suicide has been attributed to it. I hope you're not really thinking that way, despite a few references in the poem.

it is bad we must suffer pain everyday.so many labs and doctors that we should have found something to help
