Fear, failure... Regret

I feel alone...

With passion and fire in my heart, the flames of life have burned my heart to ashes.

I now feel empty inside… I feel numb to all feeling within touch.

The voices heard are far and unclear. Whispers of words all seem foreign.

Am I now blinded by this over whelming pain? Nothing seems clear ahead…

I have traveled this road before. It is a lonely one. Only the wind in heard for miles.

I stop far and away from all, and listen to the trees move in the wind.

The cold gentle breeze soothes my face. Not enough to take the burning away.

It slowly begins to rain. A mist begins to rise… I am wet in a pool of emotion.

So now I stand alone, alone in the dark... Cold shivering within regret.

this was heart-wrenching to read...so much darkness and desperation...

an inspired choice of words that convey to me the feeling that nothing is making sense...that communication has totally broken down...i've recently had a feeling like this, where i've been trying to tell someone how i feel, but they just aren't getting it, and what they are saying back, makes no sense at all...i really liked this.
