Awkward Silence

Awkward Silence

A Poem by Frozen Eyes
"

Blunder happens!

"
One fine afternoon two girls meet on facebook.

Friend request accepted and a "HI" pops on the message box.

Conversation kick starts with basic information exchange.

Soon it takes turn towards wardrobe, accessories and boys.

Gossips flow non stop for an hour or more.

Four lips curved and two pairs of sparkling eyes stuck on screen.

Soon they find a mutual buddy to talk about.

And then strikes the moment of realization.

"Oh! We are dating the same guy!"

"How's that possible? He loves me so much!"

"He says the same thing to me as well!"

"Let's confirm! I still can't believe I've been betrayed!"

They use their own ways and weapons to find out.

Facts confirmed, lies exposed, expectations shattered.

Flood of depression, anger, betrayal comes on facebook wall.

Smart guy was not so smart covering his tracks after all.

Hell hath no fury after that.

The girls who seemed to be close pals begin to hate each other.

Its either shower of abuses or blocked by each other.

The guy has a hard time winning back his trust.

But eventually sweet talks work their magic.

Foolish girls actually believe him.. God knows why??

The beginning of a potential friendship.

The possibilities of climbing out of the pit.

The chance of simplifying all complications.

All flushed by a moment of anger...

One afternoon of gossip bliss and

Awkward Silence Forever...!

You don't know how true this is, my wife before we were married had constantly thought I'd was involved with another of my female friends. Give me credit I told her, why would I be involved on Facebook in front of your eyes? We were across the ocean from each other and she was more worried about women thousands of miles away than those here near where I lived. You connected with me again with this poem nice piece

This reminded me of the movie "John Tucker Must Die" which is a lot like how this piece is written. It's hard to find out that the one you love has been sneaking around behind your back, makes you feel worthless and makes you question what you're doing wrong. Then you wonder what you can change in order to make him happy, make him stay with you and forget her. I know how it feels to be cheated on and it's pretty much like how you've described. It was the worse day of my life and could hardly look at my boyfriend the next day. I fell into a Great Depression that day, but was able to suck it up, talk it out with him and forget it. It's times like these that make us wonder if we are good enough for someone. I really enjoyed this!
