Lost Beauty

Lost Beauty

A Poem by GZ

Often it's forgotten,
beauty is often unseen and therefore left rotten,
in a frame once got and hoped in,
now all dusty and in a half light lost in.
What - which object we're so blind to not perceive,
in a rushing world of lowering self-esteem,
waiting in reality for a never dreamt dream,
changing our bodies like it's a must, it's a need.
Stand, take a chance and take a mirror,
look, take a stance now take a picture,
the writer is the actor, the shapes are the scripture,
a masterpiece of nature, a bright color needless of any tincture.
Often it's forgotten,
beauty is often took, manipulated, distorted,
in a frame once got and hoped in,
now all folded and in a half light lost in.
Many don't follow a road, many follow their instincts,
but those instincts get missing,
in this world full of non thinking,
where if lips are not bleeding they need lipstick.
Nature is beautiful as it is,
we were born the way we are, there is no need to change this reality,
and maybe you're a female, and often feel a wrong morality,
maybe you feel fat, and maybe picked on it, but truth is you're fine as nature is...
but often it's forgotten,
beauty is often took, and then left rotten,
in a frame with once us in,
now drew on, and in a half light disappeared.
