Life's Strawberries.

Life's Strawberries.

A Poem by Gaiamethod

Wild strawberries growing by the wayside.
Precious, luscious little berries of  sweet juice.
I pick one tenderly.
A tiny little berry.
And place it in my mouth.
It bursts it sweetness with an explosion of life.
It fills my senses with the sweet taste of nature’s gifts.
How I love the gifts of the Mother.
So freely given,
So ecstatically enjoyed.
Only she could have created so pure
 and beautiful
 and perfect a fruit.
There for the taking.
Little splashes of red amongst the green.
A work of Art.
The Mother’s creation.
For she is the one who paints the pictures of nature.
Who tends the growing things
And allows us to sample her work.
What a privilege and joy
To be here,
right now,
tasting her pleasant beauty and luscious creations.
A sensuous feast for the heart,
and soul.

I have missed you and your beautiful writes my friend. I am a great lover of the stawberry. The Creator must have taken great pride in its creation LOL becaue it has to be one of the most yummy of treats. This is so beautiful in its simplicity and its profound message.

I hope your trip to Egypt went well.

Hugs,
Lesa

Gifts of the mother. The Cherokee have a lovely tale about the creation of the wild strawberry. Do you know it?
