Pibbi Comes Back Sometimes

Pibbi Comes Back Sometimes

A Poem by Gene

Pibbi is my imaginary friend from when I was small.

"I've grown out of her ".

I decided on my 3rd month of school.

I was to old for her and way to mature.

I was 4 !

(and a half).

I didnt really just decide,

to make her go and leave my side.

I just started to need her less,

I had real friends.

When mum asked where Pibbi is,

I told her she was in australia.

Or in the car behind our car.

Driving near and drivind far.

Sometimes now when I'm alone,

sitting all on my own.

I find that Pibbi comes back.

Just to pat me on the back.

To cheer me up.

When my real friends are difficult.

To tell me that its not my fault.

Most of all ( I swear its true).

She comes to tell me she misses me to.

Note from author:

This poem was created when my little cousin Stephanie reminded me of Pibbi when she introduced me to her imaginary friend Tiddy. The thing I found funny was when I told her about Pibbi she said "thats a funny name".

I love that your little cousin called your imaginary friend's name funny. That's so cute. Great poem. I enjoyed reading this.

Sweet entry, I found this as a light poem/ on a childrens book. Pibbi is such a strong notion, and especially when you grow up and have real friends, Pibbi gets lost in the forest of friends that have grown..there is a lot you can do with it, somehow when I read it, I got a lot of ideas. I like the piece, well-done!
