Fullest Moon

Fullest Moon

A Poem by Geralyn Miller

Lovely Lady Luna

shone more brightly

than e'er she had

for these many years.

She neared the Earth

to light the way

for Spring,

And hasten Winter

on it's way.

Geralyn Miller
The "super" moon happens every nineteen years, approximately; when the Moon is nearer to Earth than at any other time.. This year it happened the night before the vernal equinox, or first day of spring.

The moon that night was beautiful, and so are your hushed, gentle words. Yes... oh how she calls forth spring... Lovely longing!
