I will not away

I will not away

A Poem by Spectating Spectator

I asked you to wipe sleep away
You said "I have to go"
You would not stay
So you left
Pulled up those sheets
Down those eyelids
I tucked you in
As I begged
Please stay

You stepped into that dream you saw
But what it was, was not at all
I watched aside, by your bed
Turned on the lights, you turned your head
But you would not wake
You would not stir
For then the ones inside your bed
Would wake, see me beside your bed
And be disappointed

Do you want to sleep?
Ill wait for you
With coffee
or tea
And when you wake, I will be there
Silent resentment
For chasing a dream
That left me here

But for now, you sleep
Dream the nightmares
I am there
I am tired
I will not sleep
Until you wake
And see the tears, the blood Ive shed

Then I will leave
Walk away, to the room next
I
Will pull up the sheets
Hesitantly down my eyelids
As you tuck me in
And ask why
What did you do?

But I will be gone
I have to go
I will not stay
For I am tired
Please go away

I'm afraid of being judged by what I write in this box. Living the life, huh? Now I sound cynical. Oh yea, I don't use proper writing format. So...sorry. more..
