"Agares" (Demon #2)

"Agares" (Demon #2)

A Poem by Ars Goetia Poetry
"

King Agares (Agreas). The Second Demon from the 'Ars Goetia'.

"
                               "Agares" (Demon #2)

I am Agares the grand duke, ruling the eastern zones of hell/
I can make runaways come back, & make run those who stand still
I have the power to destroy dignities, both temporal and supernatural/
I teach languages and find pleasure, in teaching expressions of immoral
As I ride upon my crocodile, the spirit of a little old man/
The governor of 31 legions, I appear with a goshawk on my hand
My zodiac sign is Aries, and my tarot is that of the three wands/
From the order of virtue, I can make all the earth's spirits dance
My day is the element of fire, yet mild in appearance and pale/
But don't let my looks deceive you, as I am not feeble nor frail
I control powerful people in hell, who have their eyes upon your soul/
And that's all I'm willing to tell you, because my story musn't be told.

The world of demons sure is an interesting one... There are so many stories left untold perhaps. It's a pity, for myths and legends are so fascinating subjects, but, alas, the sheer mass of supernaturals is intimidating.
Thank you for taking the time to introduce at least some demons.
Good job and again, well written!
