Mother Nature's Cry

Mother Nature's Cry

A Poem by GodzillaGirl101
"

The Earth cries out in pain at the folly of mankind

"
Mother Nature's Cry
She sobs in bitter desolation,
Nature cries in desperation,
Stop the pain, withdraw your hand,
You foolish race destroy my land.
The trees, once full of radiant light,
Are blacker than an endless night.
My water, once so clean and fresh,
It reeks of creature's rotting flesh.
The air, it was so good and pure,
But you men spoilt it and much more.
Birds, they choke whilst soaring high
On your fumes, and then they die.
My fish, they strangle in oily seas,
Does no one else see this but me?
If man neglects his gift, the Earth,
Then I shall cease all human births,
With flashing lightning rod in hand,
I shall restore my native land.
Your industry will crumble and fall,
That I should do this shows your gall.
Poison gas and toxins rich,
Throw my planet in the ditch.
I have wailed a thousand years,
But selfish man can't see my tears.
I cry out to end this pain,
Wealth and strength are man's sole gain.
I cannot provide no more,
My natural heart is far too sore.
Protect me and show me love,
Do this for my God above.
Save me from my bitter fate,
Lest you, too, discover the same.
