Lamb, Tree, Lion

Lamb, Tree, Lion

A Poem by A.N Hunter

I held my head up high,
holding back tears
I dare that I will never cry.
Not in front of them . . .
But tell me how can I
not for the life of the Lamb
when the Snake has
crossed the border to uproot
the Tree? The Tree of Life . . . May evolution evolve this Lamb into the Lion I know it to be
They mark their territory with "Don't Tread on Me" yet in its stead I will bite off its head.
