Vietnam - For Doc (Wildcat)

Vietnam - For Doc (Wildcat)

A Poem by Beatrice Boyle (Grandma Bea)
"

A vicious, brutal time in our country's history...a shameful war, almost destroying our country's youth, changing the lives of all who fought there forever!

"

Vietnam

For Doc

An unspeakable war…

An atrocious travesty

On our country’s flowering

youth

A dastardly, shameful period

In our history, hopefully,

Never to be repeated

again!

Young minds shattered

Spirits brutally broken

Innocence destroyed

Forever.

Spat upon and degraded

By an ungrateful nation

Left to fend for

Themselves!

Cry our beloved country

Weep for the fallen

Rise as one and honor

The survivors

For they are God’s chosen ones!

If it was God that put us in the food chain...the education bit sort of stopped us from actually eating each other but now means we have to kill each other to achieve the same reults...ie a good position in the pecking order.....

One battles with nature

It's good to feel sad it makes it all the better when daddy (and mummy these days) comes back from war.

Those without the guts for the real thing play paintball games or whatever...saddos....

Everyone (without exception) will have wished some one dead at one time or another....

A beautiful tribute to Wildecat, and all the other veterans who fought in Vietnam. It so nice when people remember them, the sad thing is it never happens enough. People take for granted our freedom which is a terrible shame, maybe your poem will open a few more eyes. I pray for that to happen. God Bless You! P.W.
