![]() Definition of a leader.A Story by Grayciey
The year 2046. Name Joy Wudasi. I was accused of being an inciter and when the Court tried sending me to jail there was an uproar from the nation thus i was just sentenced to House arrest. House arrest? At this day and age but i didnt complain i would rather stay at home than prison.
The added advantage was that my father was the richest man in the country with millions of acres of coffee and horse ranches thus i inherited all that. Funny thing is that the people loved my family because even if we were rich we helped everyone we could. My trial was due to the the tyrannical gvrnment i was fightin against. There was no democracy, no rule of law the only reason why i was not killed is because the people would destroy the town in riots. I was their leader cause i had a better position to fight for them. The situation in the country was getttin worse with pple realizing their rights more. In my 100 acres estate i was held up. Not able to communicate with anyone. But i had all the luxuries that i would have missed in prison. 50 guards were sent to watch me & i hired 15 to be my body guards when this 50 guards would decide to do anything like injure me. The 15 bodyguards acted like normal staff, chefs, gardeners, watchmen, house maids & butler. The violence in the country was getting worse! The police was opening fire on rioters. Their constitutional right of freedom of expression evoked. This was a dictatorship and all i could do was just stay in my house doing nothing. It was heart breaking. Super inflation on the rise, local businesses were closing and so was my business failing. The business my family worked so hard to build but that was not my main concern, my people were dying. One day it got so bad due to lack of upkeep of the National park, the animals got out! One tragic day, there was a riot close to my estate, when the police opened fire the people all ran to my gate... Open the gate i yelled... The Government prison guards not allowing the watchman to open the gate thus i sent my bodyguards on them and since they were trained fighters they took them out in less than 5 minutes.. The gates were opened & people entered in large numbers, being shot at, so the gates were closed when they all entered. Thank goodness so many survived. But we lost a great deal of countrymen. I gave them food and water. The police were outside but could not get in due to my strong fortress. The noise subsided. I could hear screams of people shouting in pain outside my gate so i ordered the watchmen to let them in. On opening the gate two huge lions got on my compound! This is the definition of anarchy.. They didnt spare the people at the entrance. Oh my God the screams and the shouts as life left the individuals was horrific; i went looking for my father's hunting rifle and shot down one lion the other one scared, run into my garden what to do run after the killer and risk my own life for the sake of all others?! But thats what a leader does... So i advanced. I had to save all the pple on my land, thats wat a host ought to do. One man amongst those who had seeked refuge said he could shoot thus accompanied me together with the bodyguards.... © 2013 Grayciey |
