Vivid Dream

Written 2/6/15 Wrote this after a bad dream I had one morning.

I close my eyes
Trying to drift off
Into a peaceful slumber
I fall deep into a vivid dream
It's a haunting memory...
And I awake in a cold sweat
Reality tells me everything is fine
But the images play over in my mind
Where can I hide now
From seeing you put your hands on her
Rage seeps from my skin
As my blood boils
Knowing you don't care
About all the damage you've done
The broken bones and bruises
Will heal over time
But the emotional wounds
Continue to bleed
In the afterlife
That I'm trying to lead

I had a dream about things that I saw as a kid growing up. Ive never written about it until now.

a sad thing to see a man beat on a woman, and even worse is to let kids be present and witness
a man beat his wife to death here a couple years ago he did it in front of his kids
now she's dead he`s in prison and what happens to the kids

yes it was and it happened on a street where we used to live,and I know the house

That was something I always feared, I'd come home one weekend from being at my dads house and my mom would be dead because of this guy. Thankfully that never happened.

He actually left her, many years ago. Nothing has changed with her though, she's now with a man who is verbally/emotionally abusive. Which in my opinion is worse then physical abuse.

women are afraid of being alone they jump into relationships too soon,and when it looks bad they wont leave

"Where can I hide now" - with the beast inside, there's nowhere you can hide. Hatred, Rage etc are the beasts. Unless you let go.. unless you accept life as it is, you will be running forever. you will be running from yourself. . You have to accept certain things in life. Yes, some things hurt.. Memories bring intense pain. We have to let go of the past. Only then can we have peace.

Usually this doesn't bother me. Hasn't really for years, I just happened to have a random bad dream one morning and this came out. God has helped me move on from most of thr things from my past. He's also helped with me my anger.
