True Love

Written 3/22/15 You can't put true love in a box.

I think people put true love

In a box

Like it's a black and white thing

..No Gray Hues..

..No Middle Ground..

..No Vibrant Colors..

It's always seen in a romanticized theme

But you came along

And taught me they were wrong

That true love comes in many different forms

Author's Note

This poem came about after my best friend and I were talking about true love. I always believed it was something that you could only experience with someone you're romantically involved with. But after talking to her about it, I realized that's not true.

What do you guys think? Do you believe true love has different forms, or is it only a romantic thing?

I liked how you made good use of colors and took the phrase of "true color" to a step further. True love for me is that one passage from the bible : love is pure, love is kind... An unconditional love.
