Love Me Again

wrote this as a warning to my bf.

How am I supposed to feel,

when you tell me I should leave

When you say how much you love me,

and expect me to believe

 

All I’m seeing now is how you left me here alone

When we used to be together,

In the house we called our home.

 

As if there’s something better,

as if our love was incomplete

Then you go and forfeit,

leaving me to my defeat.

 

Now I’m giving all I can,

And you’re taking all you need.

Sucking out the life from me,

and leaving me to bleed.

 

As you're saying how you love me,

Yet you’re telling me to go

Which direction are you taking me,

is what I’d like to know

 

Pick me up and take me towards the direction of your heart,

Where we can have a life together, and never be apart.

flawless rhyme, and very sad. i know the feeling-the confusion and sadness, and i find that poetry is a really great way to translate your feelings, which you've clearly demonstrated in this! this is really beautiful, thanks for sharing.

This seems a bit too personal to comment. Old guys always feel the need to give the benefit of their experience. But I will refrain and just say that it's really beautifully written, your rhymes aren't forced and it reads well.
