Vampyre

Vampyre

A Poem by Greystone
"

Decided to explore the vampyre angle a little better in an effort to understand Daradan and/or Silvestra from Diyar.

"

Hunger

in the darkness

staring

out to sea

Darkness

in severity

thirst

for human blood

I will watch

your children wither

I have seen

insanity plead

And decorum die

Who dares

to challenge history?

Who dares

to fight my fangs?

Watching

one more moonrise

Waiting

for my prey to rise

Staring

Out to sea

I'm waiting:

Come my way

I like this dark poetry angle. It's amusing.

i like the image that is brought up under the line
"who dares
fight my fangs?"
It sounds very powerful, but also brings up a thought of loneliness.
Like somehow they are behind bars.
Darkness, alone, with just thirst.
closeness only brings death.

Good work.
