stories of the broken

stories of the broken

A Poem by Zombified Spider
"

Stories from my life.

"
I’m going mad
Insane
It truly is glad
That I am my bane
In armor I am clad
I must erase the stain
I am sad
And for this I must strain
But what can be had?
My own refrain?
Though I may be bad
Hear my words, My campaign
And to this I must add
Though I have lost my way
Lightly I must pad
There is nothing I can gain
No one to lend a helping hand
To relieve the pain
There is nothing I can demand
Though I must stay in my own lane

Good morning🌤️ Dear ZS🕷

What a pleasure it is to find this stellar poetic piece that so vividly, emotionally, creatively intelligently, and captivatingly speaks to us in a voice that talks the talk and walks the walk of one who's been there and done "all that."
Brilliant, too, your clever use of two alternating monorhymes in twenty lines of deeply heartfelt, expressive feelings to both entertain and amaze our poetic enjoyment and relatedly sad compassion.

I wish I'd known this truly impressive poetic form … I'd have enjoyed writing in it.
Thank you for sharing You, ZS🕷 ⁓ Richard🖌

[only critique I'll offer is a hue darker font and separate into Quatrains for easier reading and mind's-eye appeal, but I love it, nonetheless] : )

A passion for haiku poetry began during world literature studies, inspired by its ability to convey profound ideas in a few syllables. Many of these haikus, capturing life's fleeting beauty, are featured in the book Blue Harlequin.
