I think it's lovely how you twitch in your sleep.

But it breaks my heart to know you're trying to run from your dreams.

You jolt and kick and slide but you also pull the blanket around you so you cannot escape.

You sleep to relieve yourself from reality, but your dreams only tell you the truth.

You're not smart but you pass so pass me your attention because you can't run from yourself I've tried but every mirror reminds me I've failed.

You jolt beside me and mumble to someone I've probably never met but you dream of:
