"friends"

"friends"

A Poem by LauraAnn

My friends aren't my friends and I try hard to pretend,
Like I don't notice but it tears me apart.
They say things like they love me but each word they say sounds like they loathe me.
I'm not an angel, but your game isn't fair.
I want prettier scars, but I don't dare.
Why should I be so selfless?
It's obvious to me that I'm disposable.
Who am I trying to impress?
I can't impress everyone.
