Is It Cruel?

Is It Cruel?

A Poem by Hannah Paige

This boy's going to kill himself by the end of the page
I know it but he doesn't
I won't tell him until the end
Until his end.
Is it cruel
to lie to him like this?
To present so many options
when I've already made up his mind?
No
it's not cruel
because I'll write him to want it.
I'll write him to crave the fall.
And then it won't be cruel
because I wrote that he wants it
so I'll write that he jumps.

Interesting, despairing, dark, disturbing. Beautiful.

"So I'll write that he jumps", a most agitiating ending, you guide me the reader through a greatly flowed and relevant piece then leave us all hanging, you truly are a gifted writer, well done
