Valley Here

Valley Here

A Poem by Hannah Paige

Here is where we come to live

To live, to die, to be human

Here in this hole, in this valley

This field of roaming wild flowers

We will breathe in the crisp morning

Like its sweetness will save our coursing veins

And its sunshine our restless minds

We hold hands like we’ve known each other for a lifetime

We smile like we’ll know each other for a lifetime more

Music hums like a precious revelation

A melody as darling as irreparable resolution

The wind laps our reddening cheeks

As our lips tremble with a tragic laughter

And we know that here is where it all begins

And here too, where all will end

Life is a circle for sure. We always go back to the starting point I think.
