Slipping Away

Slipping Away

A Poem by Harmony.Txx

Slipping away

Life has a way

of laughing

at me,

it knocks me down.

I can’t catch

my breath nor

get on my feet.

It seems my world could not be,

any darker than others.

I know we all say this

our demons get in

and take over.

Spirituality? No.

It has been stripped

from my soul.

What else does

life have, for me?

Some days

I want to give

my brain a hole.

To be at peace?

I deserve…

but I

could never, no.

Surely there is peace after

death!

Burning alive

while living life.

I could not breathe to describe

the pain in-depth.

Brianna,

Very poignant and thought provoking philosophical thoughts that do well speak of the tortures of this life that could seem to be easily eased of elsewhere and somewhere but here, determining to keep on keeping on living this life, come what will, or come what may, but at the end of any day: Here, above ground, safe and sound, alive and not dead, is always better than that instead of awakening awakening six foot under from results of a simple blunder that ended it all: Game Over, and no reset button or system restore to undo what a fool hast done ... Lost a few folks in such a fashion and it 'teren't pretty ... Beautiful Poetry by the way in saying that which you had to say ...
