Rings and Wings

Rings and Wings

A Poem by Timothy Hatter

Tell me can you hear the music play

Is it beautiful in every way

Can it make you smile

Will it make you cry

Let the rhythm get you high

As you walk down the aisle with your father by your side

I can see in your eyes past the nerves and the pride

The love I’ve always known

Now with your hands in mine we seal it with a kiss

They say patience is a virtue, but now, innocence is bliss

So live like you should and laugh if you will

At the sun as it shines and the life that it fills

In a place with a face full of heavenly grace

Where the angels sing and cupid dances

Forever binding sweet romances
