Olden Love

 I shall plan not to avenge his loner’s heart which shone so benign on the sea,

‘Tis a bloody tyrant forever marked on the hands of the blameworthy. 

 Prithee the rushing of the wind will blow its despairing course, 

So God may tip the boat into gentle lullabies of remorse.

Alas, a youthful bud of love blooms pink only in springtide,

And fades with the beauty of many a flower pied.

But whither thee tarry, O near blazing heart,

Thou shalt be caught on fire whither thou art.

....and my heart grieves, so. ....and it pretends not what it deserves only in dreams before it is seen in hands such as these, performed in poem. I have nothing creative in my mind at the moment. I, always, think that the reaction another may get from what I write in their poem comments is at the top of my head, but in actuality, it's a crescendo of emotion and a Love for what I feel that is not so easily explained through my simple words. I had a little trouble reading this poem. It wasn't the poem, itself, but rather that the words you chose to use, and I kept reading each and every beautiful line at least TWICE!! lol I was getting confused. I'm not sure why I did that. I get that I Love the way you write, so maybe this was just something weird that happened. I had to read the poem in its entirety when I was dine because.... well, because I like you and your writing is of fine quality to me. I don't know much of my soul. I never felt like I befriended it, but I get to feel it connect to beautiful poems such as yours. I'm yours; you are stuck with me, now, and thankfully!! lol xoxo -Your Mark

Explain! Explain! lol I have only been writing for about two years time, so ALL my poems are around the same time frame. Only about 5 poems are written before Fall, 2011. One poem got me almost kicked off the internet when a site almost got shut down from death threats and stuff...lol It is here now, but in a different time to be seen in a whole new light. The site wasn't a poetry site. It was a political site with my political poem. Whoops!! lol Another one was written when I was 11 and that is on here, too. ; ) It says that it was uploaded in 2011, but is that when it was written? xoox -Mark

Incredibly beautiful write. I am not sure if the poet is hurt by the character of the poem or if he has hurt her and she is saying he will get his. Either way..an excellent piece. :)
