Sun and I

Sun and I

A Poem by Hazel

SUN AND I

Chores scream.
THINGS TO DO - natter, nag.

Lounging. Content.
Staring at eyelids flaming red,orange.
Warmth extends into flesh!

Lascivious sunbeams like numerous
tiny tongues slide over thighs,
come to rest
on nearly bare breasts.
Shivers . . . hot . . . sultry.

They caress cheeks and neck,
linger on lips,
slide over bare back seeking hips,
back of knees . . .

I, turning like meat on a spit,
become evenly roasted.
Relaxing into the embrace,
body enveloped,
shrouded in warmth.

A pierced soul,
ascending to a special place
where sun communicates
a language of senses.

A caressing deeper
than skin on skin.

Secret lovers for years now -
devoted.
Committed, despite other liaisons.

Drifting off together -

will we someday just,
spontaneously combust?

No will to move!

Panting, perspiring,

A puddle, a pulse,
a whisper . . .

"Stay. Stay always . . ."

I used to be a sun worshiper. There is nothing like feeling the sun rays kiss your skin....feeling the warmth caress every inch of your skin....it is just a wonderful sensation. Of course, I know it is very bad for me and have decided the sun must be a lover in my past. I enjoyed your adoraton of the sun....lovely imagery. Lydi**
