Nōx Corvōrum Poem 3

A Poem by Heartless Dove

Wrap my bare flesh in the linen of your dancing serenity

Place the scarlet robes blessing your affection upon my shoulders to bear the weight of admiration

Cleanse my head with the ever pure and pristine water of the river

Fill my lifeless lungs with the sweet intoxicating breath emanating from your figure

Wake my weary soul with the fiery passion of your lusciously flaming lips

Dance with me through the moments of the elevating sun on its luminous beams

When our twirling and leaping such as a gazelle through a meadow of flowers is complete

Allow me to rest my exhausted head upon your comforting lap

Run your smooth-skinned fingers through my hair brushing it from my countenance

Twist it in your silk touch

Caress my cheek with your soothing lips causing them to flourish their rose like complexion

Stroke my burning cheeks with your ever-cooling palm

And as I gradually fall into the brightness of my dreams,

Whisper what I wish to hear the most in your perfect tone of voice ever so gently in my ear

Say the words I need to ensure that I make it through the night to rise and see

See your beautiful complexion in the morning of the glorious sun

Speak the words, I love you, until my eyes close remaining lost yet secure in yours
