Let it go

Let It Go.

You pull me back when I try and leave,

Saying words, you know I want to hear.

It is always an excuse, never the truth,

and I take them as they are, never questioning you.

 

Until I learnt, we aren’t all built the same,

and guilt and betrayal aren’t felt by all.

So here I am back at square one,

as it always a step forward, and a hundred back.

 

Let’s cut this off and put a stop to it,

as I’m tired of it going in an endless circle.

It may not be the fairytale ending,

but remember that this is just fine.

 

Better things are coming your way,

So, open you wings and fly away dear-

you have a bright future ahead of you.
