Wondered

Wondered

A Poem by Hidden_identity

You've wondered beyond that safe zone

There is no one to dry your tears

there is no one to sing you to sleep

There is no one to check for monsters

there are no tea parties

There is no jester

There is no laughing or playing

or joking or dancing

You've wondered too far

You've wondered beyond

There are no grassy plains

or glistening water

There are no yapping dogs

or hissing cats

You'll have to find your own way out

But I have to tell you I don't play fair

Yes I will cheat

Yes I will trick you

You much be clever and cunning

to find your way out

If you want to get back to your dolls

and to your home

You'll have to pass my test

If you want to get back to your mother

and father

You'll have to pass my test

If you should not succeed

then you will have to stay

You will have to laugh and play here

This will be your new home

If you cannot pass my test
